How long have you been an IAEE member? Since 2017
IAEE Chapter: DFW Chapter

How did you start your career in this industry?

I sat on the RFMA board and was an active committee member and exhibitor for years. I jumped at the chance to join the RFMA staff as their Membership Development Manager in 2016. In 2017, we brought exhibit and sponsorship sales in house and I was asked to run it. I had to quickly learn this part of the association.

How has IAEE shaped your career?

IAEE is my primary source of education and networking. I jumped right into the CEM program to learn as much as I could. I’ve met so many people along the way that I’ve learned from.

What advice would you give to a new member?

There are so many resources to tap into. Don’t be afraid to attend events or ask questions. Everyone is so willing to share knowledge and best practices.

Fun fact about you – What is one thing most people don’t know about you?

I have 4 kids ranging in age from 19 to 9 and we live between 2 states. We have a home in Burbank, CA and a ranch in Navasota, TX.

What community service projects do you like to be involved in? Why?

I’m involved with Shadow Hills Riding Club which is a therapeutic riding program. I have a special needs daughter that has benefitted greatly from their programs so I volunteer my time as much as I can.

What would you say is the #1 IAEE member benefit?

It is very difficult to pick the #1 benefit. Expo! Expo!, the CEM program, the networking and serving on a committee have all been very integral to my growth!
