How did you start your As a new member of IAEE what do you hope to gain from your membership?
My goal was to know more about the event and trade show industry outside of staffing models and talent and figure out how we can level up our services for our clients. I also hoped to gain long-lasting business relationships, gain different perspectives from domestic and international peers. Thanks to the virtual and live SWIAEE events I’ve participated in thus far, I’ve had the privilege of meeting so many talented and unique event professionals in Las Vegas and across our region. It’s easy to become siloed within your own hospitality niche, and this organization really allows me to cross pollinate with other very motivated and skilled specialists!
How will you utilize your IAEE membership to the fullest?
I was excited to enroll in the CEM program. There’s so much interesting knowledge to absorb and apply that is specific to my industry. Attending virtual or in-person events is a must for me and exploring the infinite resources IAEE provides to us members. Making new contacts has expanded my horizon and allowed me to see how much the Southwest Chapter and IAEE has to offer those looking to grow in our industry.
What are you most looking forward too with your new membership?
I’m looking forward to engaging with industry peers who live and breathe trade shows and events like I do! I’ve just began to scratch the surface and reach my full potential in Las Vegas and nationwide. I’m always looking forward to the next event and opportunity to meet potential friends and business contacts.
What interested you the most about IAEE member benefits
The fact it is specific to trade shows and events because that is exactly the industry, we provide our services for!
What is the first thing you did as a new member?
I attended a Zoom Mixer. I was excited yet nervous about attending. Everyone was kind, open to offer help right away, and it made me feel like I had a great support system within the industry. I couldn’t have been happier with the warm and open reception. I feel like I’m right where I belong and exuberant to see what doors my membership opens as we return to live events!
Tell us one fun fact about yourself.
A major fun fact about me is I love Star Wars. I’ve watched it about 1,000 times and YES the force is strong within me!
